[Bug Report] Dual-Channel Zigbee Drivers Not Controllable or Exposed via Tuya Matter Hub

Hello Tuya Team,

I am currently migrating my setup from the Moes Zigbee 3.0 Wired Smart Gateway (firmware v1.18.2 VID: a31376ee48780e85e48qwt) to the Moes Tuya Matter Zigbee Hub (firmware v1.13.10 VID: a33757912bf7088fc0s55k) and I am facing two issues:

Issue 1 – Dual-Channel Drivers Not Working

When I pair a dual-channel driver to the Matter Hub, it is visible in the Tuya app as a sub-device (Switch 1 + Switch 2).

However, ON/OFF/Dimming does not work at all via the Matter hub.

Even if I only use Switch 1, it does not trigger the light to turn on/off.

For now, I have had to move 3 drivers back to the old Zigbee 3.0 hub to restore functionality.

Affected Virtual IDs:

a323320b488ff3a998fu9b

a36576016782e992cdldcx

a3110dbbdab0cdbab7eyvb

Issue 2 – Devices Not Exposed to Matter Controllers

Lights paired to the Matter Hub are not exposed as controllable devices in Google Home/Home Assistant/Apple Home.

Only the Matter hub itself (or some Tuya “scenes”) appear, not the individual lights.

Request

Can you confirm if dual-channel Zigbee light drivers are currently supported in the Tuya Matter Bridge framework?

If not, can this be prioritized for a firmware update?

If logs or additional info (PID, DPID mapping, etc.) are needed, I am happy to provide them.

Thank you for your support

  1. When you say “However, ON/OFF/Dimming does not work at all via the Matter hub,” are you referring to the device being uncontrollable through the Tuya App, or through the Matter ecosystem (e.g., Apple Home)? If you mean the latter, I can configure the light driver as two light switches—would that work for you?
  2. Regarding “Lights paired to the Matter Hub are not exposed as controllable devices,” please provide the ID of the uncontrollable light device, or are you referring to the device ID mentioned in question 1?

Hello!

Thank you for your response.

For the first question, After i pair to the Matter Hub, inside Tuya App, i am unable to control the switches. i try pressing the on/off button in the Tuya App or the virtual switch, nothing happens. it does not able to trigger to the driver itself to on the light, if i on/off from the physical switch itself, i can see the status of the switch in my Tuya App being On/Off. but i can't control it via the tuaya app. are you able to help me with this. because with this issue, i am currently running 2 hubs in my house (matter hub, and the old wired gateway hub). in the old wired gateway hub, the parried devices works fine.

These are the old IDs that was tagged to my old wired gateway hub (i have already deleted from my old hub):
a323320b488ff3a998fu9b
a36576016782e992cdldcx
a3110dbbdab0cdbab7eyvb

I have already port these 3 over to the matter hub with its new ID below:
a3c6fcff6bcb0bcf926vfr
a374eb54d2d07bc7798prh
a3cb8d0a87402c7573uqxb

For question 2:
Below are all the devices that i require to expose as controllable light devices:

  1. a3dce0f5f3354678c5ne3u
  2. a3a01fc5671ea376b6npa7

Hello,
Regarding question 2, I have configured both the dimming device and scene switch. You can restart the gateway to verify if they have bridged to the Matter ecosystem.

Regarding Question 1, I understand your issue is that the devices cannot be controlled via the Tuya App. This is not a matter of the Matter protocol or Matter bridging. I recommend posting your inquiry in another subforum section, such as https://tuyaos.com/viewforum.php?f=29.
Thank you!

Hello!

Yes I can see that is expose now. But after connecting successfully. All my devices are showing offline in Google home/Apple Home. Any idea why?

I have tired:

  • putting my matter hub as static IP
  • restart the matter hub, re-pair it directly from Google home. But still show as offline.

Regarding the 2nd issue, I have posted my query. At the same time I am also asking my vendor to change to the driver as only 3 drivers that has this issue. Might need to you need your help to expose these 3 Ids after my vendor change it up.

Hello, to analyze this offline issue, we need to enable detailed logging for your gateway. Please keep it active for approximately one day and avoid restarting the gateway during this period (you may freely operate sub-devices to trigger logging).
I also recommend re-pairing a few offline devices and sharing their new device IDs with us so we can gather more information. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello!

Sure, sorry but can you analyse the log after 8 hours from now? As the building i am living in is doing some electrical maintenance work today. I will update here once done and also check if there is any changes to the IDs. I will also re-pair and try again after 8 hours from now

Hello,

Before the electricity gets cut off due to maintenance work of my building, I have just re-pair back to Google home. As you see from the screenshot. Once I re-pair successfully. Everything was online. But when I go into each individual switch to try to on/off nothing happens, then I proceeded to refresh my Google home and everything went offline.

Last night, I have tried via Apple home, for a very brief moment I was able to control the lights then it went offline

Update: electricity is back online.
as I connected to both Google home and Apple home, there was a message stating that the bridge is not responding - attached the screenshot

Hello, Has the gateway been restarted due to a power outage? we did not find any useful logs. Please re-pairing a few offline devices and sharing their new device IDs and your operation date-time with us so we can gather more information. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello!

No, gateway was not being restarted.

These are the new device IDs
a35dbef11fbcfc6de5h8cd
a32a23fc60796174f5ua84
a3a1578d3b7fb18639cogg
a3a50456bdbf01295frkq5
a3cb8d0a87402c7573uqxb
a372bd7645a1d03a5dytf8

Re-paired the above devices at 25th Sept 2025 (2.32pm - 2.35pm) - Singapore Time

Re-paired to google home at 25th Sept 2025 (2.51pm) - Singapore Time (All device status were online in google home at this exact timing, but when i try to on/off nothing happens)

proceed to refresh my google home at 25th Sept 2025 (2.52pm) - Singapore Time (All device status went offline in google home)

Through out all these timing in Tuya App it is working fine (on/off/dimming/status).

Some other information that might be useful for you:

  1. My Tuya account is directly linked to my google home, all devices are expose through tuya account in my google home. (on/off/dimming/status are working fine)
  2. I have tried to remove the linkage from my tuya account and directly link the matter hub to google home, didn't work as well the device are still showing offline - i did this to eliminate any possible chances that tuya app might be interfering with the direct connection to my matter hub.
  3. I have also created a static IP for my matter hub as i saw it somewhere that, if the IP were to change, the devices might go offline as well. but it didn't work for me as well.

If needed, i am willing to set up a call with you and your team to resolve this issue.

On the side note,

  1. i managed to resolved the 3 devices that you mention to post in another forum page. i managed to get it to work by deleting and clearing it's cache <<< this is for those who is facing the same issue as me.

  2. I have just ordered a few more tuya based smart home devices, will only reached me around mid Oct. by then i might need your help again to add these device ID to expose as matter - i will update you again on this.
